Showcase: The Scarlet Pimpernel (abridged)

19:30, 05 May

'We seek him here, we seek him there...'

A rollicking, epic new adaptation of the classic adventure story. A mysterious, impudent spy. An ambitious, ruthless, spy hunter. And the woman they both love. Let us transport you from the gaming tables of Georgian London to the prisons of Revolutionary Paris for a deadly game of cat and mouse in the shadow of the guillotine.

The eight-strong cast includes:

Sir Percy Blakeney - Edward Soper (Margaret Gordon Prize, 2018)

Lady Blakeney - Nicole Cooper (CATS Award-winner 2017)

Citizen Chauvelin - Neil John Gibson

This is a rehearsed, semi-staged production of a new adaptation by Helen Bang, directed by Jennifer Dick. It is generously sponsored by George and Daphne Burnett.
