Edinburgh International Improv Festival: Abandoman + Spontaneous Potter

19:45, 07 Feb

Blank Script presents the Edinburgh International Improv Festival (EIIF), Scotland’s first and only festival dedicated to improve. Across 4 days over 75 performers from across the globe will amaze with their spontaneity, quick wit and ability to make you laugh your socks off. Scenes, sketches, songs and stories will be made up on the spot from audience suggestions.

Award-winning Hip-Hop Musical Improviser Abandoman, fresh from his UK and Ireland Pirate Radio tour, will be headlining the festival launch event on 7 February.  Abandoman will be bringing his “Wildly funny and technically incredible” ★★★★★ The Age (AU) show to entertain Edinburgh audiences.

Supporting Abdandoman is the ever popular local troupe, Spontaneous Players, with Fringe sell-out, 5-star show, Spontaneous Potter. An entirely improvised Harry Potter play, based on a suggestion of a fan fiction title. With live musical accompaniment! "An ingenious, laugh out loud show... perfect for Potterheads and muggles alike" - Edinburgh Guide 2018 (★★★★★)

Join us for the launch of the very first Edinburgh International Improv Festival and witness some of the best improvisational comedy theatre that the UK has to offer.

Everyone will receive a free drink on entry courtesy of our festival sponsors, Stewart Brewing and Pickerings Gin.
