We Are So Excited For #EdFoodFest17!

Prepare you tastebuds, the Ed Food Festival is almost here! Bringing the goods from around the globe, this year the George Square Garden will once again will be food-trucks-a-plenty with a gorious gourmet group of delectable delicacies! There are so many new and returning stalls  who are excited to meet you this year! We’ve had a look at the stalls coming to 2017 and boy are there some treats coming. Here’s just a small look at what’s to come! 

 

 

The New

Groats – To keep that earthiness, nutrition and freshness, Groats oats are sourced from Scotland! After being hand rolled and soaked they are then gently left alone to simmer in some almond milk to ensure that they taste delicious, yum!

Poco Prosecco – An Italian man and his little blue van selling you bubbly fizz on tap as well as Italian cocktails and sharing some Italian culture with you!

Jus – Serving refreshing and guilt free juices from a large orange on wheels! (Seriously)

The Crema Caravan – The UK’s award winning in ‘best dessert’ and first Crème Brulee van! Coming to you with their ever-changing flavour menu and their homemade toppings, ranging between the popular Salted caramel to other tangs like Madagascan Vanilla!

Scoff – The inventors of the tattie scone wrap. Need I say more?

Jarvis Pickle – Cooking up deliciously filled, buttery and fresh tasting pastries. Don’t worry, all their ingredients are sourced responsibly and all the meat is completely free-range.

Alandes Gelato – Ice cream that gets infused with an array of quality ingredients native to each of the seasons – certainly a wow factor!

Umami Spice Boy – Umami Spice Girl’s (a returner) new addition! (I knew I heard that name before!) Basing their menus on their travels, their most recent adventure was to Mexico and the Caribbean!

The Returning

 

 

Chick and Pea – Serving to you from their little Citroen H van, they will be sampling Middle eastern and Mediterranean’s most celebrated dishes!

Slow Food – Part of the International Slow Food Movement, serving food that is Good, Clean and Fair! Giving a demonstration on foraged foods but also making it fun for children by introducing the ‘Taste Adventure’, a unique experience, where they will educate children on food by exploring the five senses!

Alandas Scottish Sea Food – Fresh prawns, lobsters and oysters, deliciously cooked salmon served with crisp chips – it’s a whole new fish and chips experience!

Fyne Ales – After all this food talk, you may be thinking about what beverage would go well with your meal! With their different yet outstanding craft beers on tap there is no doubt you’ll find a tasty beer to accompany your grub!
